General Manager - Maintenance
As a senior leader, responsible for the maintenance of all UTA assets, including fixed-route bus and paratransit fleets, light rail and commuter rail vehicles, fleet engineering and overhaul programs, fleet sustainability initiatives, facilities maintenance, and maintenance of way (rail track, traction power, and signaling systems) to ensure safe, reliable, and customer-focused delivery of multimodal transit services.
Oversees maintenance strategy, asset condition, fleet availability, infrastructure reliability, workforce performance, regulatory compliance, and capital readiness. Serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), developing short- and long-term targets and initiatives that support service delivery, safety, and financial sustainability.
Partners closely with the General Manager Operations to promote unity and collaboration between maintenance and operations teams, ensuring alignment between service delivery needs, fleet and infrastructure readiness, workforce capacity, and lifecycle asset management. Promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement consistent with UTA's mission, strategic goals, values, and the UTA Way.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent), including coursework in asset management, operations or maintenance management, finance, and strategic planning. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Five years of management experience in maintenance, engineering, asset management, or infrastructure functions, including three years of senior level management experience in the transit or transportation industry.
Demonstrated expertise in multimodal fleet and infrastructure maintenance, regulatory compliance, labor relations, and large-scale asset management required.
Knowledge/Skills:

Pay Range: $153,400.00 or more depending on experience
